In fact the Grande had formaly stated that they had no interest in buying any part of the RGS twice, in 1941-42 and in 1945, when the then reciever was getting ready to shut down the line (before each of the RFC loans.) Had to imagine that they would have changed toa positive later on! As Earl says, the plan was to drop the 3' lines ASAP, not extend/improve them.

Whcih is why I speculate that IF it happened it would have been for use North of Rico, probably dit from Durango to Rico.

I've already said (twice?) that I DO NOT think it ever happened, just that it was possible.
