A K-27 was towed through the Black Canyon dead-in-consist. Also there was a test (failure) on the Ouray Branch. Clate Baswell was the engineer, Tom Doyle the fireman.
I once saw a picture of a train in Dolores Canyon. The engine was the 473. When I brought this to the attention of NGDF the consensus that the picture was mislabeled by the photographer.
