Grant, how about it fixed up and coupled to coach five?
> Also, who would own the Mongomery Pass boxcar. Is it on National Forest land?
No idea. It is just a couple of hundred feet from the paved area of a (closed as of November) cafe. On the other side of the cafe there is a Nevada DOT maintenance yard. You can always check at the Mineral County assessors office in Hawthrone.
Oh, when you go through Benton (Station) look on the east side of the road and note the end of box car 76 built into a house/garage.
In Independance check out the Eastern California Museum. And while driving up there from the highway you can find a box car down one of the alleys.
In Lone Pine go up the road two blocks west of the main highway. You should find a box car there.
