Re: Surviving SPNG cars?

Grant, I have traveled over most of the C&C line and in my travels I came across a guy that claims that there is one of the metal cars that was wrecked and abanded just off the rightofway on the East side of Montgomery Pass neat where the Basalt Station was. I have looked over this area several times and cannot find it. The guy wrote an article about the narrow guage in the local history magazine and I called him and talked about the R/R. If you get up there,The Montgomery pass area is interesting,you can drive on the rightofway almost up to the tunnel portal. If you find the boxcar,please let us know. Good hunting! John
