Here is a photo of the displayed narrow gauge 3 ft. Baldwin 2-8-2 102 in the Battery Reducto Park in Miraflores (a suburb of Lima). The locomotive was moved here for display about 6 years ago from Cusco, Peru. There is a standard gauge coach behind it, not connected to loco. There is a round plate mark for a Baldwin plate. Number is 102 on Cab and partly on number plate. I took this photo this past Sunday, January 26th in Lima. The building is a replica of a train station built for the park display.
I have gotten several email questions as to whether this is one of the Sumpter Valleys Mikes 16,17 or 18 that was sold to the Ferrocarril del Santa Corporation in Chimbote, Peru. Since I do not have any Sumpter Valley information, maybe someone else might be able to identify this locomotive. Compare these photos with Sumpter Valley photos?
