That's GREAT news, John!

Per a p.m. from John West, he is also interested in participating in the slide shows and helping set up some affordable specials with wide appeal.  An e-mail from Tom Gildersleeve confirms he too will join us if he can, and if not will provide a copy of his excellent slide show on DVD.

John (JBWX) needs no introduction here, as he is a frequent NGDF contributor of wonderful images and sensible comments who has been taking photos of the D&RGW narrow gauge since the very early sixties.  Tom also began following the D&RGW at about the same time; he is a frequent contributor to Classic Trains magazine, and IIRC was recently the recipient of an NRHS award for Lifetime Achievement in Photography. Tom is also the co-author with Nils Huxtable of the beautiful little book of color photos, Narrow Gauge - Then and Now.  (See the thread beginning at [ngdiscussion.net], especially [ngdiscussion.net] and [ngdiscussion.net].)
