Re: Rocky Mountain Railroad Madness - Late August, 2015 ???

This has just been run up the flagpole, and you are the first to salute (at least in public).

If there's any interest in re-creating (as has been suggested) the very busy two weeks at the
end of August in 2010, then by all means we would hope that the CRRM and Loop - as well
as the SL&RG, the D&RG in South Fork, the Royal Gorge & the Leadville operations would
be interested in having special events for fans traveling via Denver and Canyon City or Grand
Junkyard Junction to Durango, Chama and Antonito.

Per Yvonne (Boxcar Betty), Railfest 2015 in Durango is currently on the D&S calendar for August 20-23, so the next step is to set something up the following weekend on the C&TS.  If and when that falls into place, then we can start suggesting to all of the histöric and tourist-oriented railroads between Denver and the Four Corners that they take advantage of the situation ...

Please remember that I am only (per anonymous detractors) "A Wild-Eyed Foamer from California" and that the only influence I have over anyone is to make suggestions.  If and when some extra C&TS activities on August 26-30 are added to the calendar, any help you can offer in the way of coordinating events and/or transportation among the various potential venues will undoubtedly be MUCH appreciated by all concerned!!
