Thanks Charlie. The Fireman on the 489 was a younger looking guy and the Engineer was much older looking. I never did get a good look at the engineer of the 483 while in the cab, but the group shots in Sargent show a few of what is indicated as the crew. I also noted one of the men looked like Kingary (?) not sure of his first name and not sure what his capacity was. I think there was a list of Who's Who among RR photographers and historians on that trip though thanks to Jackson Thode.
