Clato ``Clate'' Braswell finished his railroading career in Grand Junction. The Gunnison-based crews also had seniority from Montrose to Grand Junction and some even worked on the main line, east and west of Grand Junction. When the line was built the sub-division went from Gunnison to Grand Junction. Things changed when the Montrose-Grand Junction section was standard gauged.
Braswell started railroading in Gunnison.
(Possible correction: Engineer Braswell was 68 when he operated the last train to Ouray. He may have finished railroading in Montrose.)
