Well Dale, yes you were on that trip. If you remember you and I were in the same speech class at U.C. and did not know we had the same afliction with trains until the Cincinnati RR Club group you were with saw my family and myself on the platform at Cincinnati.
Randy and I walked all the way down there to the engines, and I took the 35mm above. I had instamatic during the 1968 D&RGW and this was my first 35mm I believe.
Now to keep this interesting here is a shot of Cooper, WV, from the Pocahontas en route to Roanoke. 11 years later I would get 611 on the other side of this bridge, and in 1983 a similar view as this one from this side of the bridge, and later get 1218 a couple of times at Cooper.
It is my favorite location in the area. So that should should bring back some memories.
