I would assume there would be night shift to keep the locomotives hot and ready for the road. Possibly not in the later years of three runs a week however. From experience, our Heisler will be warm, no pressure, in the morning if you let the fire due but have a full boiler. However a few sticks in every few hours make it quite easy to maintain a bit of boiler pressure.
