Looking closely at the wheel sets, I'm not so sure those aren't the remains of a couple freight cars lost in the fire. There appears to be truss rods on top of them, but at the same time, there doesn't appear to be much of a stub axle on the ends to fit into the journal boxes. It wouldn't be out of the question to think that limited freight car repairs were done there as well. Just food for thought.
