BCP:
Your excellent photo of Presidente Leguia is the sister engine of the #123 that I mentioned earlier - Presidente Leguia was originally #5 when delivered and later became #124. #123 (previously #4/Ingeniero Vinas) was Baldwin builder number 59205 whereas #124 was Baldwin builder number 59206. In their final years they were renumbered to #101 and #102 respectively. Both were built by Baldwin in 1926.
Incredibly, #102 (ex-President Leguia) survives today and is on display at El Reducto Park in Lima, along with several pieces of standard-gauge equipment from the Central Railroad of Peru. The equipment is maintained in good condition and is located alongside a full-size replica of the historic Miraflores railroad station.
