19 slippery?
We had a friend of one of our regular engineers visiting who was a real nice guy as I recall but a career diesel engineer. He took a turn in the engineers seat for a few minutes. The first thing he did was yank back on the trottle as if by his own energy the engine would start to move. This was a light engine move and I was the brakie. I think the drivers did about 5 or 6 revolutions without the engine moving hardly at all. Glad I wasn't the fireman. In all fairness to 19, the rails are always a little greasy in the area where the engines set while boarding passengers.
