I've read alot of commentary on the subject of marketing the C&TS. Some are good, many are coming from that old "Too close to the forest to see the trees"position.THERE IS ONLY ONE MARKETING TARGET! That target is 'PUTTING WARM FANNIES IN COACH SEATS ON THE C&TS. It is not driving to Chama or Antonito to stop your car to shoot pictures of the train as it passes by.It's the same problem in the airline industry where I have been an airport/airline marketing professional for many years. Airlines call it passenger/miles! One passenger flying 'X'number of miles. Start with the tarket of 'fannies in seats' and work backwords, asking the question, 'what steps must I take to achieve this goal....always remembering that you can't sell any product or service to anyone who dosen't know your product or service exists!
