My two cents

I also would have to say that the creede idea isn't the best. For one thing, there are more pressing needs at the D&S and C&TS, and others. Second, the 169 is not a very powerful loco, it can only pull about 3 or 4 cars on a 4%, and not many more elsewhere, and if it's down for some reason, the ling would come to a halt. Also, I think that a narrow gauging between Antonito and Alamosa would be better, since it would give the C&TS a large town for a terminus, and you could still run the 169 there since it's so flat. I also have to wonder where that line would get it's coaches, I can't think of any that would be easily availible, and in good shape. Finally, when the residents don't want a line, don't push the issue, it would not get much support, if that is the case.
We have many more cars, engines, and railroads to be concerned with, I doubt the 169 is going to rust away anytime soon, however the cars on the S&S, well, I can't say the same. Let's keep focused on our most pressing issues, and move from there.
