I was also thinking about doing something with a rotary water car, or possibly one of the other auxiliary tenders around Chama. Mounting a couple nozzles underneath it would do a good job even without a pump, with all that water in there gravity feed is no problem. It can be towed at the end of regular trains without much need even for an operator. My flatcar idea can also work in that capacity rather than be stationed at the "right" places. A problem with an extra car would be its added weight on the train, so not as many passengers would be able to ride. I'd like to say that's important, but not as important as fire control.
