Alamosa to Antonito: main track, yes. Sidings/yard? probably yes but there was some original 1870's rail around still in the early 1950's not sure which tracks, could have been in 3-rail.
Montrose yard: ? (probably yes)
Salida yard: NO. D&RGW 1947 profiles cary a warnig about salida yard tracks where the 3' ga middle rail is still as light as 52 lb vs 90 or 100 lb for the fat gauge.
btw, the danger of this, aside from leaning rolling stock, was the counterweights on the outside-framed engines hitting the ground on the side with the lighter rail. Picture exist of cw's almost in the dirt in such situations.
