It is interesting to note that the helper had rights over the train. I guess they had to write it that way so the two could get together at Gato.
The top four engineers out of Durango at the time were Bob Shock, Steve Connor, Bill Holt and Virgil Headrick. The throttle artists were probably one of the those.
Alva Lyons, Myron Henry and Puck Blackstone were the top conductors.
