A.D.D. being what it is, and even though I like almost all pre-1970 American cars for what they are, a Model A in any flavor is pretty much the same when pitched up against the seldom seen cars of the period. I about shat myself just before deploying when a client opened his garage and there sat a pristine Hupmobile ! Model A's are cool and all. I am just bored with them in a sea of more upscale and rare cars. Kinda like my eyes glaze over with all the starry-eyed talk about how cool the K-36 and 37's are. Sure, they wonderful. But how about that Mason Bogie ?
Oh look, a quarter !
I have come to refine my taste for open fender cars to the post-brass era, but before the corners began to be rounded. I like a Model T better than I like an A. Just my taste. But make no mistake about it, I prefer ANY old American car over another KIA or other post-70 car taking up space on the road and duly respect the effort anyone puts into being "that guy" with the old car. It takes time and money and dedication. I appreciate the individualism and moxie of anyone who goes that extra mile, be it for a Pierce or a Ford.
