I used to have an AA express bed only. As I had 2 of the AA trucks, one of which had a factory flat bed, the other home built I wanted to put the express body on one. I started on the AA restoration stuff when I was 14, but never got the express body fixed up by the time I went off to college followed a couple years later getting married. I think my dad must have hauled the express body off as junk during the time I was away, so it's been gone for 30 years plus. Both trucks I sold while my kids were young to finance home repairs and the like.
There used to be one of those express body trucks up at Stehekin, Wa. at the N. end of Lk. Chelan. It belonged to a guy by the name of Harry Buckner who ran the store as I recall. He is no doubt long passed from the scene, but the truck might still be up there as the only way in or out for vehicles is by barge.
In any event they are a cool looking truck. Stewart, does yours have the 2 speed "dual high" gear box behind the 3 speed or the later 4 speed transmission?
