This fire continues to burn. There was a significant column of smoke visible yesterday, October 20, from US 550 in the Purgatory Ski Area part of the highway, and coming up the highway from Durango, the path of the fire as it moves up the mountain side is plainly visible from the highway. It is is a very rugged, very steep mountain side. The dry conditions continue.
