One of Grover Talbert's sons was C. Herschel Talbert, born circa 1913. I did not see his name on the Ridgway RR Museum list though. The fact that his first name began with a C. may mean we are on the right track.
BTW, I grew up in Pueblo so I am familier with the yards there. My Dad used to take me to the parking yard of what is now Dutch Clark Stadium to watch the switching there. A big thrill was to see the Texas Zephyr come down the hill from 29th St at very high rate of speed compared to the switch engines. Then the Gulf Coast Special would leave.
