It certainly makes good sense to purchase an identical spare "Pineapple 2", to be kept at Antonito, and 2-3 spare sets of traction motors and generators to repair both Pineapples, if needed.
If the Board can justify the purchase of 5 EBT hopper cars from the grant money for track work, are the costs of vital repairs to the engine(s) to pull those cars for track work any less important or justifiable?? I don't think so !!!
