since we are on the subject i will express my opinion

a large part of the energy quandry as i see it is a total near total lack of localized energy productiton. it used to be that if a manufactureing process produced waste they found a way to power the factory and he whole town with it. not to say this dosent happen today (the old practice is on the rise) but it used to be universal.

as an example i currently live in western north dakota (drill baby!!) and we are flareing off massive quantitys of natural gas we should be powering all the trucks up here with it. but they just burn it and pay taxes and royalties on the flare because it isent worth hardly anything.

also for what those guys will have to spend to make that hudson what they want they could build a brand new engine that is exactly what they want and restore the hudson to operation as a controll for their data (old versus new)
