Skonk,
So Bill belives that this may just be a city water tower? Interesting, and worth investigation. I had heard essentially the same thing, but switched a little. From what I was told, it was an original water tank, that after the railroads closed, was used as the towns water system. That's probably when she picked up her relatively new sheet metal roofing as well. It seems that there would have to be photographs of the move somewhere, but I sure haven't ever seen them.
