Yesterday 4 of us hiked the old SVRy mainline from Tipton to White Pine. This is about 4 miles and includes the loops and passes by an old water tower site on Crawford Crk. 1 mile above White Pine. The only remains at the water tower site are 4 concrete piers and some misc. tin cans. Does anyone know if this location had a formal name in the old days?
Second trivia question just for fun: It's 1916. You are a newly hired experienced engineer on the SVRy. You've made a couple trips on the line to become familiar. You know that tommorrow you'll be called to take empty stock cars all the way through to Prarrie. You are running over all the details about the grades and other important features of the line in your head. Name all of the places you can take water from S. Baker to Prarrie. Have fun!
