Doug,

IRRC, you are corre3ct about the use of steel turn tables for the mikes and larger power.

The D&RGW only had steel girder turntables used by their 2-8-2s. Salida, and Alamosa (dual guage), Chama, Gunnison, and Durango.

East Broad Top - steel table at Orbisonia.

Sumpter Valley - Steel table at South Baker.

White Pass & Yukon - Steel table at Skagway.

Oahu Ry - steel table at Honolulu.

Uintah Ry - Wyes and loops, no turntables on railroad.

Not sure about how N de M turned their 2-6-6-2s.
