I was aware of the loco rule (as I understand, this did not apply to the C-classes as they were smaller/lighter), but have heard over the years that perhaps the rule was incorrect. I have also heard that know one knew who or where the rule came from and what prompted it. Was it simply someones realization that the K's were heavier or something else.
Also, I have heard that K-27s and 28s could be doubleheaded.
Really, what struck me was that reading that artical this morning, it finally hit me that there was a name being atributed to the rule. Of the two names in the artical, it only listed one as being deceased, but the one atributed to making the rule, I am told is deceased too.
So my thought of getting information from the horses mouth, will not work.
