No George, I DO know what long hours are like day after day after day. I have taken my Children from Cheyenne to LaSalle behind 844, but that's as far as it went.

I wouldn't subject my family to one of those all day death marches on a bet. I've worked too many of them. I know how unruly kids can be for anything more than a few hours. I used to deal with them regularly.

Since, as a UP employee, I have to pay full excursion price for a train ride sponsored by some railfan group, I'd rather be in the cab of the Locomotive, where the only bitching that I hear is from the Dispatcher.

All day excursions? leave them to the railfans, I figure if I chase them, I can go home any time I want.
