By the time I arrived on Wednesday, the left-side rods had been attached to the first, second and
third pair of drivers, the installation of the pilot truck was done, and the rear of the engine had been
jacked up to allow the fourth pair of wheels to be spun around and the rear siderods installed.

I spent most of the day Friday cleaning various small brass fittings and valves with a wire brush and emery cloth; after lunch Phil installed the engineer's water glass and the bases of the try-cocks; Here he's showing Cameron how it all fits together:
