This map of the SG&N provides a pretty good perspective on the photograph. The photographer was down toward mid to right bottom of this map and looking to the upper left of the map. The SG&N grade is right in front of him and Cement Creek flows diagonally towards the Animas on the left. The smokestacks are near the circled 2 on this map.
