Herb,
You and Bob have been a great in answering my questions, so if you don't mind I'm going to pick your brain some more.

I have copies of drawings made in 1881 in the D&RG shops for C-60 Class (later C-16 Class) #42, and it shows Spring Arragement "B" which fits into pre-1881 Baldwin engines.
Now I know that the Arrangment shown in "A" is the "new" Baldwin standard as of 1881 and saw use for a couple of decades.
All C-19s have Arrengement "A", but do all C-16s?
You say, and I believe you, that there is a picture of 278 with the "A" arrangemnt in the 1880s when I thought it was a pre-1881 engine?
Thank you for all your help, but now I'm going to take a Tylenol for this headache.
