If memory serves me correctly....which sometimes it dosen't.....the tank cars came from the scrap yard in Grand Junction. They had several standard gauge tanks cars there and I remember 2 of them heading south via flatbed trucks. The following spring when we drove to Silverton, we saw two tank cars on narrow gauge trucks, and the boxcar, at the gas station coming into town. Thanks for those great pictures Patrick!
