But wasn't there the 483 trip for the Park Service to Alamosa after the 68 freights were done? Was the park service train after the December run from Alamosa?
The other poster mentioning the September dismantling made me consider the fact that while one railroad was being torn out, the C&TS was being born!!
Interestingly, I graduated High School in the spring of 69 and I considered Adams College(Alamosa) or Lewis College in Durango. Had I, those 1970 C&TS moves might have had me onboard. Those schools did not permit freshmen to have autos, and I was not about to stand for that, when there was steam to be had!!
