Folks, all this discussion is for naught. The second site glass is in because FRA sez so. If the tricocks are in the way, they go. No tricock or siteglass will be accurate unless maintained properly and blown down regularly. Any responsible tourist or historic road needs to make certain their operators know and do this as required. As far as the second glass is concerned, these new rules were not made up by an FRA official sitting in an office somewhere in Wash. DC. Representatives from the tourist and historic railroad industry were active members, and THEY, not the FRA made the changes which all roads (including EBT) should adhere to. Are they God? No, they are us. I'm talking here about people like Doyle McCormack.
