Thanks Tom! You are quite correct with the paper trail. We are documenting this both with photos and video when feasible, as well as taking notes as to locations etc. The Climax trucks were donated to our organization by the owners of the land they sat upon.
I kinda figured the trucks were probably attached to flatcars as that was the only type of car that woulds have made any sense in that particular area.
Im off to go railfanning in the Lower 48 next Friday so I'll be in and around the Rocky Mountain West and Cascades for three weeks.
