Re: Political Correctness and NGDF

Thanks for your posting Scott, I try to sit out the flame wars as they accomplish nothing other than to make the warring parties look foolish and hurt the generally good mood of the postings here. Sometimes we can get a little dogmatic at sticking by our guns and hammering away at someone who has a differing view than our own.

I personally miss the posts here by Jerry Day, John Templeton, Bill M. here, (and I am sure there are others). They know so much information that would benefit all of us here in our quest of knowledge about the narrow gauge. I have talked to Jerry on the phone many times and always felt the time was well spent.

Perhaps in the spirit of the holiday season and the coming new year we can all make a new years resolution to be more respectful of each others opinion, and simply state our point of view of the facts, and not make it personal.

It is my hope that Jerry, John, Bill and others who have stopped posting would give the new year a fresh start as I believe that they too enjoy sharing information as long as things stay civil.

Anyways, Happy Holidays to everyone at the NGDF! This is one of my favorite sites as I learn so much. Thanks Don for supporting this forum for all of us to participate in. John
