Thanks for commenting on the "playground" in reference to G's earlier posting. I composed a rather lengthy, albeit terse, reply about the playground label and some of his other somewhat simplified, if not inaccurate, views about the Friends and the C&TS. Then I deleted it for a cooldown over the weekend.

I get really tired of the C&TS being referred to as the Friend's "playground". Sheesh. After all, you, I and 4 to 5 hundred of the rest of us come there to WORK our butts off trying to keep the place from returning to nature. Some thanks we get for all the effort and personal finances we expend to be allowed onto the "playground".

P.S. when does steam start up again at HDZ? My daughter and her husband are regular visitors to HDZ coming over from Ames several times a year. We might come over with them next year.
