Dick,
VERY interesting information. I'm still learning, having played with C&TS only since 2003.
I have messed with the Nebraska legislature a fair bit as well as Nebraska's Congresssional representatives over the years. I wish more people understood the power they hold in their individual hands, meaning their pens, computers and telephones.
Unfortunately, most believe their contact is meaningless, lost to the hoards of special interests, etc. To an extent, this is unfortunately true, but not NEARLY to the extent most believe. A well written, brief communication is far more valuable and powerful than most folks have any idea.
Message: If you live in the states of Colorado or New Mexico take a few minutes and write your representatives. Those that have supported C&TS deserve your thanks. Those that need some education and prodding deserve such, but in balanced and brief terms. Suggest that they look into the situation and offer any assistance you can provide in doing so.
To the gentleman who says he's written, thank you. I know the disappointment of no response and "thank you for your concern." Still, your message has been received, and nothing says you can't write again.
One last thing. If you have the chance to obtain the name of the staffer who is connected with matters concerning C&TS take the time to call and speak with him or her. That individual is MOUNTAINOUSLY important!! They carry the message to the representative, or don't.
