Hi, Scott -
I have to admit to using the poor-man's "
Phomite and Phone-Line Philter" in mgx Picture Publisher to remove an occasional background distraction from an image that - in many cases - simply cannot be reproduced today. In only a couple of instances have I transgressed into the nether regions of moving phone POLES by a foot or two (or ten) in order to provide a little more "breathing room" for the main subject. (In the first case I was thanked by the recipient of a large print of one of my own photos, in the second praised by a well-known photographer for improving the overall effect. It was also suggested by a third party that a certain railfan's VW be exorcised from the former print - which, for many reasons, I declined to do.)

p.s. This thread illustrates the main reason I would prefer that you send me photos for Volume 2 of the Screen Saver EXACTLY as you would like to have them presented, as 1600x1200 .jpg files compressed to your own standards. Then I can simply copy them into to sequence with no changes whatsoever.
