I have a question primarily for those in Colorado. Two weeks from now we will be headed out west from St Louis. Almost everything we had planned on doing is already open, or will be open very shortly. The talk about San Juan county got me to wondering, the places with the “no outsiders” rules, do they have something posted at the city limit or the exit to let nonresidents know that? Most of the country is opening now and a person would not logically think that if they were traveling a federal or state highway that they could be arrested for stopping for gas etc. The info in the Durango paper indicated that the people fined in San Juan county removed barricades and went around them. So obviously they knew they were where they shouldn’t be. Right now, we are planning on being in Durango the night of the 10th and 11th of June. Currently D&S is closed through the 8th but is iffy. The Bar D says they are opening on the 5th. We’re totally aware that many restaurants everywhere still won’t let people in. We’ve lived that reality like everyone else. I’m just concerned about accidentally breaking some rule that isn’t obvious. So, Silverton for example. Do they have a sign at the town entrance saying residents only, or are you just supposed to know? Is 550 open through town? We just aren’t hearing of anything in the Midwest that’s quite that stringent. We could just go around Colorado, but would prefer not to. Really interested in hearing from locals. Thanks!
