Here is a web page I did on the Chili Line, in particular from Taos Junction to Barranca Hill.
I did a bit of investigating of the La Madera branch area in August, but not specifically looking for railbeds. I went horseback riding at an outfit in Vallecitos. That was one hell of a ride. I've never jumped a horse before, but it was required on this "trail ride". We rode on some short sections of railbed, but it was not too easy to tell.
