Yep, they had to have a longer hose on the C&S since the valve (actually the linkage) was at the top instead of the bottom and the flat roof on the tank let it freeze with much more regularity. The fireman had to climb up on top of the tank, shovel his way through the snow down to the access hatch leading to the mechanism and then thaw it with the hose. Lots of fun. On the Grande and the RGS all you had to do was stick the hose in the pipe for a few minutes.
