How about reproducing the 2006 ad from (Classic) Trains, etc., as a couple of billboards a few miles north and south of Antonito on 285?

A caption such as "You are only 20 miles from HERE on America's longest and highest historic steam railway*! Don't miss it!!" might capture a few extra riders. The bean counters should be able to determine whether the extra ridership might justify the cost of two billboards.

* Most people won't care (or even know) what "narrow gauge" is, but - with some thanks to 'Thomas the Tank Engine' - a lot of people do know that 'historic' and 'steam' mean something special ...
