How about reproducing the 2006 ad from (Classic) Trains, etc., as a couple of billboards a few miles north and south of Antonito on 285?
A caption such as "
You are only 20 miles from HERE on America's longest and highest historic steam railway*! Don't miss it!!" might capture a few extra riders. The bean counters should be able to determine whether the extra ridership might justify the cost of two billboards.
