Dan, I haven't seen anything in the roster materials that indicates any of the flats were steel framed. In 1944 SVRy sold about 47 or 48 flats to "Dullien Steel Products Co". The AFE says "for Industrial Rail and Equipment Co." I think Brian Norden told me Dullian was a company in the Bay Area, maybe a dealer in used rail equipment or a scrap dealer. Does anyone know if these cars were just scrapped by these companies or perhaps exported?
