We had an auditor / consultant through the Non-Profit Resource Center audit our operations this year. He spent about a month off and on and looked at EVERYTHING, not just the money. This included our charter, our board make up and what they did, our long range plan (or lack thereof), our short range plans, how we manage things, how we operate our trains, etc etc etc.

While not a "train man" he sure did open our eyes on how to operate and IMPROVE our organization. He was very thorough.

Maybe the folks and Colorado could get someone like that along with someone who knows railroading.
