I am currently working on a book project which documents each and every preserved steam locomotive in the state of Minnesota, and I need information on the former Ferrocarril de Salaverry A. Trujillo 2-6-0 No. 6, the "Trujillo," that used to be displayed inside an antique store at Frisco, Colorado as "DSP&P No. 13." The engine is now at the Prairie Expo Museum in Worthington, MN, and is lettered "Southern Minnesota Railroad Company No. 13"
Does anyone have information about the Ferrocarril de Salaverry A. Trujillo line? I have looked everywhere I can think of for information, but have come up short. This line operated out of Trujillo, Peru.
Also, can anyone tell me why the antique store in Frisco sold the locomotive two years ago? When I visited there in '97 they seemed to be one of the most-vistited shops on Main Street Frisco.
Thanks!
Jeff Terry
