The proposed lease has been offered since even before this season. The Georgetown citizens have heard from the CHS that they are doing everything they can and are considering every possibility - We now know that is not true. They won't even admit that they were offered a lease. Why not? If the proposed terms were cost prohibitive (hard to believe considering the millions they have spent and the millions it will cost to recoup an increasing unreliable reputation) - why didn't they just say so? Hiding the actual offer and feigning ignorance when asked about it doesn't go a long way to mend the fences here or instill any confidence. I don't buy the compounding contractors issue. There are so many layers of contractors up at the Loop right now, seems like this scenario would fit right in.
