I can't answer the question of who is paying for the 05635 materials (I think Bob T had done his usual fine job of finding bargins), but I can say that 05635 was in pretty bad shape and not suitable for *any* kind of use on the railroad. The unprotected sills suffered greatly. I don't believe they found any suitable wood worth reusing.

0579 is occasionally being used for Charters. This past week a family from Texas chartered it for an Antonito-Osier-Antonito trip.

The commission funding request is for cars comparable to the last set of cars built about 10 years ago. The long term goal of restoring the historic cars on the property would be a Friends project. All it will take is volunteer labor and lots of $'s. Care to help us ?
